To celebrate the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the Education Above All (EAA) foundation has launched Ramadan 2022 Fundraising Campaign to provide educational opportunities for children worldwide.
The initiative also aims to raise funds for educational projects in Qatar, State of Palestine, Sudan, Zanzibar, Somalia, Cambodia, Mali, Afghanistan, and Nepal.
In a press statement, EAA representative Leena al-Derham, said: “EAA aims to raise funds for educational projects for the most vulnerable and marginalised children. We hope that our campaign draws renewed attention to the power of learning as the most important enabler of human development and we are grateful for the tremendous amount of support that we are receiving from our partners.
“We believe that change can only happen if we work together and we call on the public in Qatar to support our mission to ensure that every child and youth has equitable access to inclusive and quality education.”
EAA works with a number of partners in Qatar including Carrefour Qatar, Lulu, Monoprix, Megamart, Talabat, Snoonu, Empire investments, Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority, General Retirement & Social Insurance Authority, Sherborne, Qatar Academy Doha, Qatar Academy Wakra, Bonaparte French School, Qatar International School, Paris Gallery, Abdullah Abdulghani, Ooredoo, Vodafone, Shell, Marriott Qatar Business Council hotels, Al Raya Newspaper, ELAN and others. The partners have also launched their own outreach campaign to encourage their customers to take part in EAA’s digital Ramadan contest via its @EAADonate, @educationaboveall_eaa, the foundation’s Twitter channels.
EAA Education projects are eligible for Sadaqah and in order to raise adequate funds and enhance participation in the campaign.
