The North Indians’ Association (NIA) organised an outdoor event at Al Safliya Island to celebrate Holi, the festival of colours, after two years of muted festivities due to Covid-19. The festivities started with a boat cruise to the island where the participants celebrated with herbal colours, dancing to the tunes of Bollywood music and folk songs, riding banana boats and enjoying delicious food. The event titled 'Holi Ke Rang, Apno ke Sang' witnessed participation of around 350 persons. Added attractions were Dhol players, DJ and folk songs by NIA committee members.
