Labour ministry to offer over 80 services digitally

The Ministry of Labour inaugurated the Digital Transformation Management and Service Automation Unit, with the aim of accelerating the implementing the ministry's plan to provide all services electronically without using paper and relying on digital solutions.

In a statement, the ministry said that the launch of the Digital Transformation Management Unit comes within the strategy aimed at developing smart electronic services, upgrading the system of electronic services in the labour sector, and contributing to facilitating and speeding up the completion of services provided to clients.The Digital Transformation Management Unit will develop, update and offer more than 80 services and transactions electronically, as the transaction will be completed without the need to visit the ministry building or service offices or submit paper documents.According to the timetable for the digital transformation process , the majority of services will be completed electronically within one year.The unit will develop electronic services according to the needs of the customers, in order to raise the level of the service provided, whether in terms of electronic delivery or speed of delivery.The Ministry of Labor currently provides several electronic services, including the fast track of electronic labour visas. Data update facility for firms introduced The Ministry of Labour also announced the launch of data update service electronically to enable companies to register and view the data related to it, and submit requests for data modification, in addition to requests to delete one of the facility's representatives or officials. The announcement of the new service comes as part of the ministry's efforts to upgrade the system of electronic services and speeding up the delivery of services.
