Minister honours winners of Sheikh Jassim Holy Quran Competition

HE the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem al-Ghanem honoured the winners of the top five places, across three categories of the entire Holy Qur'an branch, in the 27th edition of the Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani Holy Qur'an Competition, Qatar News Agency reported Saturday. The value of prizes allocated to winners of the entire Holy Qur'an branch is QR1.2mn, with the first five winners in each of the three categories receiving valuable financial rewards.

At the ceremony, the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the competition Nasser Yousef al-Sulaiti, said that after a gap of nearly two consecutive years, the competition is back, thanks to God, to continue the path of good giving, in Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani Holy Qur'an Competition with its multiple branches and various sections. He added that the competition was launched last Sunday, and the number of participants reached 1,400 competitors, and the competition will continue until next Thursday.The ceremony witnessed honouring the distinguished new converts participating in the competition, males and females, in the new converts branch. The value of the prizes allocated to the winners of the entire Holy Qur'an branch is QR 1.2mn, with the first five winners in each of the three categories receiving valuable financial rewards.
