3,622 tonnes of local veggies sold through marketing programmes in March

The total sales of locally produced vegetables in March through the Premium Qatari Vegetables and Qatar Farms programmes amounted to 3,622 tonnes, the Ministry of Municipality said on Monday. This included 738 tonnes marketed through the Premium Qatari Vegetables initiative and 2,884 through the Qatar Farms programme. Fresh and high-quality produce could be found year round at many major shopping outlets across the country, including LuLu Hypermarket, Carrefour, Al Meera and Family Food Centre. The Ministry of Municipality's Agricultural Affairs Department supervises the programme for marketing locally produced vegetables in co-operation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
