‘Sharing of Learnings by Ambassador’, a motivational discourse, organised by Birla Public School recently featured K P Fabian, an Indian diplomat who served in Indian Foreign Service from 1964 – 2000, professor of International Law, author of different books and articles on international affairs.
Addressing a virtual gathering of the school's stakeholders, he said choice should be based on knowledge. Fabian reiterated the importance of reading books as they are the only source of true wisdom and inspiration.
“Information leads to knowledge and knowledge leads to wisdom”, he explained.
The veteran former diplomat spoke at length about how wars affect humanity in the wake of the current situation in Ukraine. He exhorted the students to consider civil service as a career option as it would not only earn them respect but also enable them to work for the development of the country.
“In life there is no problem which cannot be resolved if we use intelligence”, Fabian said.
