DPS-MIS budding scientists bag prize in Gasna Competition

The DPS-Modern Indian School students who bagged the third position. They participated under the supervision and guidance of Kalaiselvi Kumar.
DPS-Modern Indian School participated in the eighth Gasna Competition (2021-22) organised by the Gas Processing Centre (GPC) at Qatar University's College of Engineering.
The competition was conducted in four categories - KG to grade IV, grades V and VI, grades VII to IX and grades X to XII. It was aimed at raising awareness on the importance of natural gas.Grade VI students Samuel Durai, Roshan Rajakumar, Bhagavath Mahadevan and Vaibhav Harish S designed a prototype model on 'Waste water treatment (Save water for future usage)' under the supervision and guidance of Kalaiselvi Kumar, and won the third position. They received a trophy and cash prize of QR5,500 from Dr Khalid Kamal Naji, dean of the College of Engineering at QU; Dr Mohamed Ali Saleh Saad, director of the GPC; Rashid al-Hajri from ExxonMobil, and Noora al-Mannai from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education at the closing ceremony held recently."It was indeed a proud moment for the students and a great platform to exhibit their talents," DPS-Modern Indian School said in a statement. A total of 200 schools had registered for the competition and about 25 models were submitted under category 2.
