Qatar University College of Pharmacy (QU-CPH) recognised 117 students who achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters by hosting the 10th Annual Dean’s List ceremony virtually and streamed on QU's YouTube channel.
Professional Year 2 pharmacy student Kaoutar Barakat, the master of ceremony, gave the opening remarks. QU-CPH dean Dr Feras Alali welcomed the gathering. Research specialist and QU-CPH MSc graduate Sawsan al-Mukdad was the guest speaker.
Dr Alali said: “The Dean’s List is an institutional recognition of our students’ hard work. I am especially proud of the students honoured this year as they were not deterred by the pandemic circumstances and hardships but put exceptional efforts to be in the elite class of achievers.”
Assistant dean for Students Affairs, Dr Alla El-Awaisi, commented: “We at the College of Pharmacy are continuously working hard to create an environment for the students to excel and thrive in many aspects.”
PharmD student Moumena Haddad who received her 10th pin said: “Having the 10th pin of the Dean’s List at the end of my BSc journey in Pharmacy reminds me of the quote: 'No pain, No gain.'"
QU-CPH Professional Year 1 pharmacy student Mohamed Elsayed, who also earned a spot on the Dean's List,opened the ceremony with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an.
