The Marine Protection Department at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change carried out 1,652 hours of monitoring and inspection patrols in January, resulting in the detection of 36 various marine violations, including 31 violations related to the use of prohibited fishing nets. Similarly, the Wildlife Development Department carried out 1,500 wild tree planting operations in January, in addition to fencing six rawdahs (natural meadows), as part of the environmental rehabilitation programme.  Further, the Environmental Monitoring and Inspection Department carried out 61 field visits and inspections during January, covering various sites and facilities.
