Indian Islamic scholar visits IUMS headquarters

Noted Indian Islamic scholar and vice chancellor of Kerala-based Darul Huda Islamic University (DHIU) Dr Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi recently visited the headquarters of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) in Qatar.
Noted Indian Islamic scholar and vice chancellor of Kerala-based Darul Huda Islamic University (DHIU) Dr Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi recently visited the headquarters of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) in Qatar.
During a two-day visit, the IUMS member met dignitaries from various walks of life while discussing ways to enhance co-operation between Islamic institutions in educational and social empowerment sectors. Dr Nadwi was received by IUMS president Dr Ahmed al-Raissouni and general secretary Dr Ali Mohiuddin Qara Daghi.The meeting, according to a statement from Dr Nadwi's office, noted that sagacity and unity should be at the core of the initiatives, meant to address the crises. Dr Nadwi visited HE the Minister of State and Qatar National Library president Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kawari at his office.The visiting dignitary also met Dr Ibrahim Saleh al-Naimi, chairman of the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue at the latter's office. They contemplated ways to preserve inter-religious co-operation and togetherness while sustaining peace.
