Billawas Qatar, an associate organisation of the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), recently held a blood donation campaign in association with Hamad Medical Corporation.
More than 100 donors registered. The forum's president Raghunath Anchan welcomed the gathering. ICC president P N Baburajan, vice president Subramanya Hebbagelu and Indian Community Benevolent Forum vice president Vinod V Nair shared their thoughts, appreciated the organisers and encouraged everyone to do their best to serve mankind.

The guest speaker Dr Sumpath Sundar briefed the gathering on the importance and benefits of donating blood. He explained how science has made progress in the field of blood transfusion thereby saving many lives. He also highlighted that blood donation is a vital part of healthcare and used in the management of many clinical health problems.
Dr Sundar urged the community to donate blood at regular intervals as blood donation is considered one of the best ways of helping mankind. General secretary Sandeep Malar proposed a vote of thanks.
