Indian expatriate forum Diaspora of Malappuram District (DoM Qatar) organised an Iftar programme. The event, which highlighted the organisation's schemes for expatriate welfare, also marked a leaders' meet attended by DoM Qatar members and representatives of various organisations. President V C Mashood said the forum has planned a slew of projects for Gulf returnees. These include rehabilitation of expatriates and launching a Pravasi portal that features various services for the Kerala diaspora. MES Indian School principal Dr Haneefa delivered a Ramadan message. General secretary Abdul Aziz Chevidikkunnil, Dr V V Hamza, Abdul Rasheed P P, Basheer Kuniyil, Aboobacker Manaplatt, Abdul Raoof Kondotty and Ratheesh Kakkov were present.
