Qatar University Press supports creative artistic talents

Qatar University Press announced the organization of the third season of the “Book Cover Design Acceptable for Publishing” competition 2022, titled “Qatari Commercial Law.” The competition aims to support creative artistic talents and give them the opportunity to enter the field of design professionally. The competition requires that the design reflects the title and subject of the book, to be original, by 17/24 cm in size. The work should be submitted in an electronic format, by using the Adobe creative cloud software. The winner of the award will receive a set of publications from Qatar University Press, with the designer's name written on the cover of the book. The book "Qatari Commercial Law", authored by Dr Andrew Mazen Dahdal, outlines the legal rules applicable to commercial activities in Qatar. The legal materials covered in it are consistent with the current settings up to 2022. The book is a valuable resource for students, practitioners, researchers and anyone interested in the growing economic prosperity of the State of Qatar. The book includes: Introduction to the Qatari commercial legal system, contract law, corporate law, intellectual property law, consumer protection law, commercial law (including agency and franchise). Qatar University Publishing House will receive entries in the competition via e-mail qupsm@qu.edu.qa, the latest date for participation will be on May 15th. Qatar University Publishing House is a non-profit house, established in 2018. It works to promote and publish books, interdisciplinary and refereed research in many fields of knowledge. It is also keen to publish books and scientific journals.
