DPS-Monarch International School has been appreciated by the Indian state of Karnataka for offering Kannada as a second/third language.
Since the beginning of this academic year, students from grade one to eight can opt for Kannada as a second or third language at DPS-Monarch International School.
Applauding the initiative, Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) handed over the appreciation letter issued by the Karnataka Development Authority, government of Karnataka.
DPS-Monarch International School president Hassan Chougule, vice president Yasir Nainar, director Rocky Fernandes, principal Meenal Bakshi, headmistress (Middle & Secondary School) Madhu Uppal, headmaster (KG & Primary) Sujith Kumar, KSQ president Mahesh Gowda, vice president Sandeep Reddy, membership and media co-ordinator Savious Crasta, Indian Cultural Centre vice president Subramanya Hebbagelu, were present.
Gowda thanked the school management for accepting the request to offer Kannada and reaffirmed the continued support of KSQ to help the school incorporate Kannada smoothly into the CBSE curriculum and also for arranging required workbooks from Karnataka.
