Bangladesh ambassador Md Jashim Uddin accorded a reception at the embassy for the winners of the prestigious Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed Bin Thani International Qur'an Competition - 2022.
Contestants from 25 countries participated in two groups, namely Hifz and Tajweed (Group A) and Hifz, Tafsir and Tajweed (Group B), in the competition organised by the Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs of Qatar at the Central Mosque, the embassy said in a statement.
Out of the ten winners, six were from Bangladesh - Usama Moulana Chowdhury (1st, Group A), Aziza Umar Faruk (5th, Group A), Aisha Umar Faruk (1st, Group B), Abul Hasan (3rd, Group B), Mohamed Hujjatullah (4th, Group B) and Salma Hafiza (5th, Group B).
The ambassador presented crests and certificates to the winners and congratulated them.
