MES Indian School has held its first ever middle school investiture ceremony. The student council members were elected through a process involving campaigning, ballot and personal interviews with the nominees.
The chief guest, principal Hameeda Kadar, felicitated the young leaders and urged them to contribute significantly to the development of the school by showing perfection in the given responsibilities. Boys' Section headmaster Jas and Girls' Section headmistress Souda Jaleel announced the names of the appointees from the respective sections.
The key student officials are head marshals Mohamed Rasal bin Rasheed and Evelyn Johnly, vice marshals Sourav Sandeep and Annette Hannah Jetty, sports admirals Aboobacker Siddiq and Denica Jane Machado and cultural secretaries Mohamed Zidan and Farah Rashid. The students come under the four houses: Blue, Green, Red and Yellow.
Earlier, head boy Abdul Rahman Hazem welcomed the gathering and head girl Sahala Kabeer proposed a vote of thanks.
