* Seven MoI buildings inaugurated virtually
One of the latest technological systems launched at Milipol Qatar 2022 is the Early Warning System, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced.
The system is operated by the Communications Department at the MoI. The new system responds to emergencies by sending messages to community members to alert them in the event of disasters or emergencies in a certain area. One of the advantages of this system is that a large number of alert messages can be sent to users within a few seconds. Also, messages can be sent to people in a limited geographical area such as a football ground.
Meanwhile, seven buildings of the Ministry of Interior were inaugurated virtually on the opening day of Milipol Qatar 2022. These are the Wakra Civil Defence Centre, Al Sailiya Police Station, Shamal Security Complex, Al Fazaa Police Department headquarters in Mesaimeer, Al Thumama Traffic Investigation Section, Police Dog Section and Umm Salal Police Station.
