The construction progress of the Fish Market at Al Ruwais Port was discussed at a co-ordination meeting between Al Shamal Municipality and Aswaq Company. The project is expected to open for business by the end of this year.
The participants also discussed the various phases of implementing the project and the construction and architectural designs. The contractor of the project, Al Shamal Municipality's Technical Affairs Department director Faisal al-Sada and a representative of Mwani Qatar Company – Al Ruwai Port were present.
The project, spread across 9,810sqm will include various related commercial and services activities such as fish stalls, fish cleaning stalls, a supermarket, multipurpose shops, ice plant, fridge storehouse, and drying storage. It will serve the residents of Al Shamal and the surrounding areas.
