The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) received on Monday the annex to the Lusail Female Campus in Rawdat Al-Hamama area from the Public Works Authority, Ashghal.
CCQ president Dr Mohamed Ibrahim al-Naemi and a delegation from Ashghal headed by Buildings Projects Department manager engineer Abdulmohsin al-Rashid were present.
"The annex will be ready to receive students at the beginning of the next academic year," Dr al-Naemi said on the occasion.
The establishment of the new annex comes within the framework of CCQ's keenness to continue to make headway on its nationwide expansion strategy in response to the increasing demand for its academic offerings and the significant increase in the number of students enrolling.

The attendees toured the facilities of the new annex, which extends over an area of 27,000sqm and consists of four floors, with two information technology laboratories, a conference room, multi-purpose meeting rooms, and a range of facilities and halls that support the learning environment.
On the occasion, HE Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh al-Naimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, praised the efforts made by CCQ to support the academic needs throughout Qatar, and its pioneering role in providing the local labour market with qualified national professionals.
CCQ president Dr al-Naemi praised the unwavering support of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and thanked Ashghal for their co-operation.
Engineer al-Rashid explained that the design of the new annex reflects the characteristics of the local culture and ensures the provision of educational, environmental, and recreational benefits to students, in addition to its conformity with the highest standards of safety and to the local and international quality standards.
CCQ has recently opened the annex to the Lusail Male Campus in Rawdat Al-Hamama area, which includes four floors and extends over a building area of about 13,650sqm. Through its various branches, CCQ provides a diverse range of specialized academic programmes that include two-year associate degrees in arts, applied arts, science and applied science, in addition to high-demand 2+2 bachelor degree programmes that cover a multitude of sought-after fields to support the labor market with specialised national cadres.
