HE the Minister of Municipality Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Subaie paid an inspection visit to the Building Permits Complex Tuesday morning to review the progress of work there.
On the sidelines of the visit, HE the Minister held a meeting with the General Directorate of Civil Defence (GDCD) and service agencies at the ministry to discuss ways of developing and modernising the procedures in force at the complex, speed up the completion of the issuance of building permits, and work on standardising and unifying procedures in order to ensure co-ordination between the various authorities concerned.
He stressed the need to hold monthly meetings between the complex and service agencies to follow up on issues that contribute to raising the level of performance indicators.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the GDCD, headed by Brigadier General Hamad Othman al-Dhaimi, director-general of the directorate, and from the Ministry of Municipality - Mubarak Nasser al-Khalifa, director of HE the Minister's Office, Mansour Abdullah al-Mahmoud, Assistant Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs, Saad Abdul Karim al-Qahtani, director of the Building Permits Complex, Hamda al-Maadeed, director of the Information Systems Department, and Ibrahim Abbas, director of the Infrastructure Department.
