A panel discussion was held at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), on the sidelines of Fifty By Seventy Exhibition for members of the Fine Arts Group-Qatar, which was inaugurated on May 18 and will continue until June 6. In the panel discussion moderated by Qatari plastic artist Abdullah al-Mutawa, Qatari plastic artists Hassan Bojsoum and Dr Shatha al-Numan reviewed their experiences and sources of inspiration from reality, heritage and daily life, and their influence on creative experiences at the local, Arab and international levels. Each of them touched on the general features of his artistic style and opinion about belonging to an artistic group and the benefits that the plastic artist derives from this affiliation, including the impact of diversity in styles and schools in enriching it. The plastic artist Abdul Rahman al-Mutawa highlighted the Fine Arts Group, its goals and work program, which is dedicated to upgrading the capabilities of young artists and develop their work through training and artistic courses, organising trips to explore the aesthetics of the place in Qatar, visiting farms, land, sea and desert, and holding open ceremonies for photography to capture photos of this environment and its landmarks, noting that the outcome of these artistic trips were three joint exhibitions, the last of which was Fifty By Seventy Exhibition hosted by Katara. The plastic artist, Muhammad al-Ateeq al-Dosari, also talked about the positive artistic and aesthetic impact of interaction and dialogue between plastic artists in exchanging experiences and openness to many methods and horizons, in addition to the intellectual and cultural return of this dialogue and interaction. The plastic artist, Hassan Bojsoum, revealed, in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the sidelines of this episode, about his aesthetic references, sources of inspiration and the characteristics of his artistic style. "In my paintings, I tend to document the social heritage of our society and restore memories and details of peoples lives in old homes and their ways of living." Hassan Bojsoum said.He was inspired by the details related to family visits and kinship ties, adding that the results of this method have resulted in artistic expression, teaching his paintings in schools and incorporating them into school curricula, to stimulate the memory of students and students of science and introduce them to positive basic features of the memory of their community through artistic work. "This was achieved because my paintings are not satisfied with a single element of heritage and society, but rather provide a story and a story of employing elements of people, architecture and environment. I draw an integrated scenario for the lifestyle or details in my paintings," he added."Collective participation in Fifty By Seventy Exhibition sends a distinctive message in which we reflect our love for Qatar through our art, in the works of artists belonging to more than 28 nationalities. It is a different vision of Qatar in the eyes of the Qatari plastic artists, along with their fellow artists. The subject of the exhibition is one, inspired by the Qatari environment in its land, sea and architecture, but with different artistic methods," artist Shatha al-Numan said in a statement to QNA.Shatha, the daughter of the pioneering Iraqi plastic artist, Faraj Abbou al-Numan, indicated that her affiliation with the plastic art group began with a simple idea, by organising group trips to heritage and historical areas in Qatar and drawing them through live and direct drawing closer to the realistic school, but the group grew step by step, and members formed the collection, each with its own style, vision and reference, is as beautiful as the mosaic in a large canvas called Qatar.Fifty By Seventy Exhibition includes 75 paintings of some old areas that contain a picturesque Qatari nature, drawn by artists who are members of the Fine Arts Group.
