A high-level delegation from Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has participated in the 18th meeting of the Committee of Senior Officials of Red Crescent Societies and Authorities in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, as well as the preliminary meetings.

Held at the headquarters of the Secretariat-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Riyadh, the meetings were attended by Red Crescent leaders and senior government officials in GCC countries.



At the conclusion of sessions, the participants recommended a set of decisions following the discussion of agenda items, mainly approval of the 3rd Gulf Forum for Voluntary Work of GCC Red Crescent organizations, to be held in Saudi Arabia.

Under the theme "Volunteering is life", the two-day event will be organized by the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) in December 2022.



QRCS's delegation, which was headed by Vice-President of QRCS Prof. Aisha Yousef Al Mannai, visited ARCO's headquarters in Riyadh, and they held a meeting with Dr. Saleh Al Tuwaijri, the organization's Secretary-General, to discuss issues of common interest.

During a visit to the Arab Center for Disaster Preparedness, they were briefed on state-of-the-art technologies and techniques to monitor environmental disasters.



Moreover, the delegation visited SRCA's headquarters and met Dr. Jalal Al Owaisi, President of SRCA, and top officials, to review bilateral relations.

Lastly, there was a visit to the National Ambulance Center to have an overview of the key initiatives contributing to Saudi Vision 2030, including more than 180 strategic projects and initiatives.
