Expat sentenced for insulting saleswoman

A Doha Court of Misdemeanour has sentenced an Arab expatriate to two weeks in jail, suspended for three years, and imposed a fine of QR5,000 after he was convicted of insulting a saleswoman at a commercial shop in the Simaisma area.

Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that the man had been surprised by the price of some items he wanted to buy, and proceeded to insult the saleswoman there.She submitted a complaint to the police and the man was arrested.After reviewing surveillance camera footage, the court was able to establish his guilt based on the investigation.
