Executive leaders of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) last month attended the 2022 International Conference on Person-Centred Care in Anaheim, California to represent HMC as the event’s Premier Gold Partner. The Planetree International Conference is the leading event in the field of person-centred care, an approach to healthcare delivery that prioritises the active participation of patients and their families with an emphasis on partnership, compassion, transparency, and equity.
Nasser al-Naimi, chairman of delegation from Qatar and the deputy chief of Quality for Centre for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement and director of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute, participated in the conference together with HMC leaders, Dr Khalid al-Jalham (director, Ambulatory Care Centre), Dr Muna al-Maslamani (medical director, Communicable Disease Centre), Nadya al-Rauili (executive director, nursing, Private Nursing Services and Home Healthcare Services), and Khadija Khalid Mohammed (assistant executive director, patient safety, Ambulatory Care Centre).
“We believe in the person-centred care model pioneered by Planetree, which has enabled us to transform the way we deliver care within our organisation,” said al-Naimi, who is also a member of Planetree International’s Global Person-Centred Care Certification Committee. The president of Planetree International, Dr Susan Frampton, noted: “HMC is deeply committed to a vision of healthcare quality that puts patients first.”
Planetree International is a not-for-profit organisation that partners with healthcare organisations around the world to transform how patient care is delivered.
