Qatar Rail has said Doha Metro services will be extended to 1am on June 13 and 14 in view of the FIFA World Cup Qatar qualifiers.
On June 7, Doha Metro services were similarly extended to 1am to facilitate the movement of fans attending the Australia-UAE World Cup qualifier. Australia won that match.
"Qatar Rail is keen to provide a seamless travel experience for football fans during the World Cup 2022 qualification match days, which will be held on 7, 13 & 14 of June at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium located near AlRiffa–Mall of Qatar station by extending Doha Metro services to 1am," Qatar Rail said in a tweet.
Both the June 13 and 14 matches are intercontinental playoffs. The first one is between Australia and Peru, while the second one features Costa Rica and New Zealand.
With 30 teams already qualified, including hosts Qatar, these two matches will decide the final line-up of teams to play in the mega event that will be held from November 21 to December 18.
