“Let’s nurture the nature so that we can have a better future.” Keeping this catchphrase in view, Pakistan International School Boys’ and Girls’ wing celebrated World Environment Day on June 1.
Principal Nargis Raza Otho presided.
The students showcased numerous models and projects related to pollution, climatic change, saving trees, water and energy, art from waste exhibits, recycling initiatives, waste reduction initiatives.
Bulletin boards related to environment activities and projects with recycled materials were exhibited.
Students from across grades partook in a myriad of Go Green activities. Appreciation certificates were given to M Adil, M Arham, Sanaullah, Ahmad Dawood, Aser Sagy, Mirza Ahmad Zaman, Nouman Irfan, Muhammad Sayyaf Kashif, Abdullah Tariq, Manan, Lamar Adel, Hamna Rana, Aliza, Ayesha Mushtaq, Ayesha Rashid and Dua Fatima.
In the KG wing, the assembly on June 2 saw the tiny tots dressed up as trees, plants and waste bins while holding banners and models with messages to save environment.
The primary wing celebrated the occasion on June 5 with a series of activities. Projects, paintings, and drawings were displayed on the bulletin boards depicting the green colour at its best. Students displayed their projects related to different themes such as planting more trees, saving water, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle and cleaner environment.
The principal presented appreciation certificates to the participants.
The IGCSE stream also celebrated World Environment Day on June 5. Two quick growing trees were planted near the school wall and in the surrounding area by the principal and students.
