Qatar participated on Thursday in the inauguration ceremony of Somalian President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud. Qatar was represented in the ceremony by HE the Minister of State Sheikh Fahd bin Faisal al-Thani. HE the minister congratulated President Mahmoud and stressed the strength of bilateral ties and Qatar's support of Somalia in all fields and its commitment to the country's stability, progress, and prosperity.
On the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony, the Somali president received HE the minister, who conveyed the congratulations and greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Somali president, and wishes of success and continued progress and development for bilateral relations between the two countries. For his part, the Somali president conveyed his greetings to the Amir, and wishes of further development and prosperity for the Qatari people. The Somali president stressed the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries.
