Read Pakistan Qatar chapter hosted its first book club event at The Next Generation (TNG) school enlightening children about the importance of reading books.
The event was directed and hosted by Uzma Ansari.
The importance of books in life was conveyed by Farzana Safder and she described the benefits of reading books.
The children who read different books were Ayesha Mushtaq , Zakariya Nadeem, Kibriya Nadeem, Sajjad Ayaz and Usman Sabir.
Huma Mirza read the story 'Chicken Licken' which was loved by the kids. At the end of the story, some questions were asked and the children answered readily.
There was also a segment of drawing and sketching. Children loved to draw their favourite cartoon characters. At the end of the events, gifts were distributed among the kids.
Read Pakistan Qatar chapter president Shahida Khan thanked all the parents, kids and organising team for their efforts. She also thanked the TNG School CEO Shagufta Bakali for providing the school's hall and facilities for the event.
The other participants were Dr Sobia, Maryam Khalid, Safa Safder (Radio Qatar FM107), Saima Sabir, Saadia, Rida, Zahida Nargis and Pakistan International School Qatar English teacher Naheed.
