The Ministry of Justice launched the upgraded version of the online state lawsuits system, which aims to facilitate the work of all system users and provide a comprehensive view of all types of lawsuits and data in line with the needs of each user.

In a statement on Saturday, the ministry explained that this version is characterized by the ease of dealing with state lawsuits electronically, the smooth navigation between the systems' contents via the main page, the flexibility to search for a lawsuit on the main page using more than one search term, including the case number, parties to the case, and displaying a control panel showing the most important data on state issues.

The system provides links to general and detailed statistics for all types of cases instantly and allows access to the overall general plan for all types of cases and the various degrees of litigation. In addition, each official can also be informed of the distribution of the total workload within the administration/unit and departments. Moreover, it has the feature of reminding lawyers of the dates and times of their assigned cases. Finally, it is now possible to evaluate the results of the work performance of each lawyer separately.

HE Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohammad Al Ameri expressed hope that the upgraded version of the state lawsuits system will provide more efficiency and effectiveness in completing and following-up cases and monitoring the results of the administration's work first-hand, in the interest of the state's interests, and in accordance with the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to develop the justice systems to ensure the achievement of prompt justice.

For his part, Assistant Undersecretary at the Office of the Minister of Justice and Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs at the Justice Ministry Ahmed Hassan Al Kuwari explained the importance of launching the upgraded version of the state lawsuit system by developing the applicable regulations in the administration, in a way that ensures the activation of its work and enables the states lawyers to use the latest tools in following up cases.

He added that the upgraded version will make it possible to achieve the department's goals included in the Ministry of Justice's strategy in terms of developing its services and providing mechanisms to expedite the work of lawyers and remind them of cases under follow-up, in terms of the number and dates of sessions allocated to each state lawyer through text messages and e-mail.

In turn, the Director of the Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Justice Hessa Ali Al Sulaiti said that the upgraded version has been processed to ensure speed of data circulation, quality of performance, and provision of a legal database that enables the state lawsuit department to prepare reports and statistics on the number of lawsuits filed by or against the state electronically. It also provides the listing of the lawsuits and categorizing them according to each government agency and the number of lawsuits that pertain to each of them separately, as well as according to the type of lawsuits (administrative - civil - appeals against an administrative decision - land disputes - contracts in the state) and so on, she added.

The system will facilitate the administration's work by providing statistics on the number of judgments issued in favor of it or against it in real-time and for any previous period (week/month/year) according to the type of statistic required, she explained. (QNA)
