The Ministry of Education and Higher Education celebrated the graduation of the third batch of the Training and Educational Development Center (Tamheen), which aims to attract graduates who do not hold an educational qualification and wish to practice the teaching profession in government schools in Qatar, QNA reported.
Director of the Training and Educational Development Center at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Hessa al-Aali said, "Tamheen programme seeks to encourage Qataris from non-educational disciplines to engage and work in the teaching profession, the noble profession, and the profession of prophets."
Al-Aali stated that the Training and Educational Development Center was established in 2019, with the first batch of Tamheen programme graduating in 2020, and the center seeks to form an association for the programme's graduates, especially after exceeding the number of 50 graduates, spreading across three batches to keep in touch with them by holding meetings, programmes and various activities to enhance co-operation and exchange of experiences among them.
On the other hand, General Supervisor of Tamheen Programme at the Center for Training and Educational Development Abla al-Kuwari, said, "Graduates of the Center are Qatar's sons and the future hope. They believe in the importance of education and the role of the teacher in constructing society, and this reinforces their genuine desire to enter the education field, even though it is a difficult profession, but the satisfaction of achieving results relieves them of the hardships of the profession".
Al-Kuwari confirmed that the Training and Educational Development Center welcomes all Qatari graduates looking for work and have the desire to join the education sector, and al-Kuwari has invited them to submit an employment application on Kawader platform, where the application is submitted to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with the necessary procedure to begin participating in the following Tamheen programme round.
For his part, head of outreach at Teach For Qatar Mohamed Aljanahi said that the organisation has been collaborating with the Educational Training and Development Centre since the beginning of the programme by providing training workshops in the fields of education technology, leadership and education strategies for its members.
