The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE), Qatar chapter held its hybrid mid-year conference, technical seminar and general membership meeting recently.
The event was attended by more than a hundred in-person participants and more than 200 online participants, mostly electrical practitioners in Qatar, the Middle East, and the Philippines.
The event was graced by the vice-consul of the Philippine embassy in Doha, Monica Remsy Calangian, labour attache Adam A Musa and distinguished guest and speakers from the Philippines.
Topics presented by the resource speakers were: Certified Practicing Safety Professional Programme Requirement of Electrical Engineer by Professional Regulation Commission – Board of Electrical Engineers (PRC-BEE) member Jaime V Mendoza; Table of Specifications by PRC-BEE chairman Francis V Mapile; and Pre-energisation Tests of Distribution Transformer and LV Panels by Engr Glenn M Babiera, a regular technical speaker in Qatar.
All the resource speakers are experts in their fields and had a lively exchange of views, interactive discussions and question and answer sessions. The event aimed to keep the members updated on all the latest trends and technological developments in the field of electrical engineering.
