QM receives photographs, Porsche Tractor from Do?u? Holding

Qatar Museums (QM) CEO Ahmad Musa al-Namla and Dogus Holding chairman and CEO Ferit F Sahenk have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will see the conglomerate donate 50 photographs by the late Turkish photojournalist, Ara Güler, and a Porsche tractor to the former. The photographs represent Güler’s body of work. Nicknamed “the Eye of Istanbul,” Güler was best known for his captivating black and white photography of Türkiye; its docks, streets, and people. The Porsche tractor will be added to QM’ car collection, which will be incorporated into its newest project, the Qatar Auto Museum. The new museum aims to explore the past, present, and future of the automobile and its impact on global life and culture, a QM statement said.
