HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met in Paris yesterday with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna. The meeting dealt with reviewing bilateral relations and the means to enhance them, particularly in the economic field. They also discussed regional and international developments, particularly the Palestinian issue, Iran’s nuclear deal, developments Libya, Lebanon, Ukraine, Chad, and Afghanistan. They also exchanged views on issues of joint interest. The two sides stressed during the meeting the importance of setting a political resolution for the Palestinian issue, and returning to negotiations aiming to establish a two-state solution based on 1967 borders. They also agreed on the importance of reaching a fair agreement in the talks on Iran’s nuclear deal, and the importance of a diplomatic resolution to the crisis in Ukraine.
