The top eight seeds kicked off their Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major campaign on Wednesday. The tour’s heavyweights quickly got used to the Parisian heatwave and the very fast conditions at the “Padel Roland-Garros”, with the top five pairs in the rankings making short work of their second-round matches. In the Top eight, only Alex Ruiz & Momo Gonzalez needed three sets to defeat their opponents, winning 2-6 6-3 6-4 against Sanz & Luque.
Four French players still in the running were halted in their tracks. Bastien Blanque and Adrien Maigret were overpowered by Franco Stupaczuk & Pablo 6-1 6-1. Johan Bergeron & Thomas Leygue put up more resistance against Federico Chingotto & Juan Tello, but once again their opponents proved stronger.
