Al Wakra Municipality celebrates 50th anniversary

 

 

 

Al Wakrah Municipality celebrated on Thursday the 50th anniversary of its founding, which fell on July 17, 1972.Al Wakra Municipality director Mohamed Hassan al-Nuaimi expressed pride on the occasion and thanked all the departments within the municipality since its establishment for working towards the development and prosperity of Al Wakra city.

 

The administrative jurisdiction of Al Wakra Municipality includes many vital landmarks and facilities, whether economic, touristic, cultural or recreational, as well as some strategic projects, the Ministry of Municipality said in a statement.Al-Nuaimi stressed that the occasion "requires us to continue to work, persevere and double the joint efforts with all governmental and non-governmental sectors to ensure the upgrade and improvement of the diverse municipal services system, and the reinforcement of urban development".Pictured are officials marking the occasion.
