Kenz Mini Mart, a branch of Saudia Hypermarket, opened its doors for business on Friday in Matar Qadeem.
The grand opening took place on the shop's premises at 4pm.
In the presence of N K Musthafa Sahib, Salman Musthafa, Jassim Musthafa, Group HR manager Rayees K, general manager M K Abdul Rahman and other dignitaries, Sheikh Hamad Jassim Nasser Jassim al-Thani inaugurated the shop with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The ceremony was followed by a personalised tour of the shop for the guests and a reception. The public showed great support and eagerness for the new shopping destination in Matar Qadeem, a press statement noted.
Centrally located, the shop is easy accessible by the public and its ample parking space makes it "all the more favourable", the statement adds.
