Community College of Qatar starts its academic year 2022-2023 Sunday, with 3,339 female students and 1,380 male students enrolled in 15 academic programmes, which include 8 associate degree programmes and 7 Bachelor's degree programmes.
The number of educational divisions that the college will offer in all its buildings reaches 672, as well as 36 divisions with the integrated education system, which mixes traditional education with e-learning.
The college administration said that the study system during the current Fall semester will be in attendance for all courses included in the schedule for academic programmes whose study requires attendance at the college, as well as for practical courses, where students' attendance at laboratories will be mandatory with a maximum of 12 students per laboratory.
President of the College Dr Khalid Mohamed al-Horr stressed the readiness of the college for the start of the academic year and the reception of all faculty members, pointing out that the academic and administrative staff is always ready to provide assistance to students and guide them in their study journey, so that they can achieve scientific excellence.
Al-Horr explained that the college was able to develop an educational system that enhances the options available to students by offering two consecutive sets of courses extending over only 8 weeks during one semester, in parallel with the usual courses that extend over 16 weeks, thus providing students with more flexibility that allows them to combine study and work at the same time, and avoid conflicting times between them.
During an introductory meeting for faculty members and administrative staff held at the college's headquarters in Lusail recently, the President of the Community College stressed the need for the college to continue its vital role in meeting the aspirations of students and providing high-quality education, through the development of college programems and services, both educational and administrative, and the production of educational outputs capable of meeting the needs of the labour market of qualified manpower and also, capable of contributing to comprehensive national development in the coming years.
