Deadline for installing tracking devices on tankers extended

The deadline for installing tracking devices on tankers to enter sewage treatment plants has been extended until October 1, 2022, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) said Sunday.  The extension is to provide tanker owners (companies or individuals) another chance to comply, said Ashghal in a tweet.Beyond October 1st, the issuing or renewing tanker permits will not be done without providing evidence of an effective tracking device already installed, Ashghal added.To apply for the tankers tracking system, following details are to be submitted: Company Name, tanker numbers, vehicle numbers, point of contact / contact info including mobile and email address, type of device(s) installed in the tanker, email confirmation that device is installed and tanker is communicating with the system, SIM card number, service request number (for existing permits).To apply, email to be sent to avItankersupport@ashghal.gov.qa with subject as "Private Tanker Configuration." SIM card can be collected from Ashghal Salwa Customer Zone between 8am and 12pm.
