QU-YSC announce fifth Youth Research Forum

Qatar University Young Scientists Centre (QU-YSC) is organising the Fifth Youth Research Forum 2023 under the theme: “High education institutions and their role in achieving sustainable development goals”. The forum is a hub for meeting and exchange of experiences for young researchers from around the world.The centre invites all undergraduate and postgraduate students in Qatar, the Gulf and international universities to participate in the forum in line with the forum topic: ‘The quality of higher education as one of the sustainable development goals and a way to consolidate its concepts.’The session deals with improving the quality of higher education in general and privatising humanities as a means to consolidate the concepts of sustainable development. In this context, researchers are expected to submit research papers related to the following topics: First one is 'Higher education quality topics and its achievement in public universities, especially in developing countries.' Second topic is ‘The theme of legal legislation aimed at consolidating the concepts of sustainable development and achieving its goals:This theme concentrates on the role of law in consolidating the concepts of sustainable development and achieving the desired goals. Research papers that achieve the objectives of this theme will be accepted.Third topic is: The Scientific Research Theme As A Means To Consolidate Concepts And Achieve The Sustainable Development Goals:Since higher education and scientific research are inseparable, we learn to research and research to learn. This axis focuses on the role of scientific research in higher education to consolidate the concepts of sustainable development in the young generations and use it as a means to achieve those goals.The research title and an abstract of maximum 300 words should be submitted by October 16, with CVs including communication information.    Researchers will be informed whether their research work abstract is accepted or rejected for inclusion in the research forum as oral or poster. Full research report or poster shall be submitted by December 18 to be evaluated by the research committee.QU-YSC successfully organised the third and fourth forums in 2021 and 2022, collaborating with Qatar National Committee for Education, Culture, and Science. Prof Noora al-Thani, director of QU-YSC, said, “Universities have the largest and most important role in the movement of scientific research and development, as they are the highest educational and research institutions. Qatar University has always been a pioneer in achieving important strategies and aspirations to ensure the country's progress and spread the benefit to the world.”
