President of the Republic of Singapore Halimah Yacob met Thursday HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani. During the meeting, HE Sheikh Mohamed conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the president, and the Amir's wishes of good health and happiness, and to the government and people of Singapore continued progress and prosperity. For her part, the president entrusted HE Sheikh Mohamed with her greetings to His Highness the Amir, wishing him good health and happiness, and Qatar continued progress, development and prosperity. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to support and develop them in various fields, especially in economy. They also discussed Qatar's preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the latest developments in the Middle East. The president expressed her country's thanks to Qatar for its efforts in facilitating the evacuation of civilians from Afghanistan.
