The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, represented by the Monitoring Department and the Department of Nature Reserves, said yesterday that it had immediately intervened to follow up on the phenomenon of fish deaths in the Khor Al Adaid area, and is investigating the incident. A group of specialists from the Monitoring Department and the Department of Nature Reserves took samples of fish to the laboratory to be examined so as to determine the causes behind the incident, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change said. The fish deaths in the area, especially during the summer season, usually occur due to high seawater temperatures, the ministry noted.
