3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum to hold 'Adolescent Volunteers' program

3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will hold Thursday and Saturday a program for adolescent volunteers at the museum headquarters under the logo of "education and the development of society" in a bid to reaffirm Qatar Museums' commitment to enhancing teenage volunteers' skills.The program seeks to develop effective communication skills and boost the empowerment of the youth as well as enhancing creative thinking and encouraging their further integration in their societies.The program, which comprises three training workshops, will begin its activities Thursday with "Effective Communication" workshop presented by Somaya Al Mutawa, Head of Awareness and Conservation Program at Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa).In a statement to QNA, Al Mutawa said the workshop will seek to teach volunteers from both genders (13-18 years) who will assist in Qatar Museums activities during the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 the elements and tools of effective communication in addition to providing them with practical tasks to help them acquire further experiences and optimum communication methods. She added the participants will be informed how to give messages that reflect the right image of the State of Qatar and enhance the respect of cultures as well as boosting volunteering among the youths.On Saturday morning, the second workshop under the title of "Let's Make it Remain on Earth" presented by societal communication officer at Teach for Qatar Initiative Mohamed Abdul Rahim Al Janahi. The workshop teaches the volunteers ways to produce visual educational content and to use CuteCut application on their cell phones to produce short meaningful videos.The third workshop titled "The Youth for Environment" will be presented Saturday evening by Volunteering Strategy Specialist Ahmed Al Lingawi. The workshop seeks to get the participants involved in settling local and international ecological challenges through creative thinking and games.
