The School Affairs Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced that the registration of adult education students -- the parallel track -- will begin Sunday and continue until the end of work hours on September 29 in order to complete the stage of registration of adult education students (secondary stage) for the 2022-23 academic year. The department has identified several registration directions, including the school's need to review the data of students who registered through the electronic system, to ensure the accuracy of their data and documents on a daily and continuous basis, and to communicate with students registered in the early electronic registration stage for 2022-23. The students must bring all the necessary documents for approving their registration on the system after verifying the validity of the documents necessary for registration, approving the students' data on the National Student Information System (NSIS), and signing the student's commitment and registration form in the parallel track. The directives also included the registration of new students in the parallel track through the student information system NSIS, as well as the necessity of handing over textbooks to them immediately after the registration process. Each school is obligated to request textbooks from the ministry's Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs at the start of the academic year for the students registered with it. Then the school hands over the textbooks to students for free. For admission to the parallel track, the student must be Qatari nationality, at least 25 years old, and have successfully completed the grade preceding the grade in which he wished to register. Concerning the educational curriculum for the parallel track, the School Affairs Department required that the student study a lighter curriculum during the years of study in the parallel track (the 10th, 11th and 12th grades). This is so that the student studies a percentage of the standards for each subject to ensure that he is provided with the required basic knowledge and skills for the subject. The study will be through a one educational path in the 11th and 12th grades (the general daytime education tracks included in Qatar's education system do not apply to the parallel track scheme).Tuition fees will be collected after completing all the documents necessary for registration based on the decision of HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education No. 11 of 2017 issued on February 23, 2017, regarding determining fees for services to be provided by the MoEHE and are as follows:* New Qatari students and students enrolled in schools in the 2021/2022 academic year and have taken all exams: exempt from registration fees. * Re-registration fees for Qatari students who were absent from exams in the previous year, 2021/2022, without an acceptable excuse: QR1,000.It also clarified the documents required for registration, which include the Qatari ID card and a copy of it, four personal photographs, and the last certified educational certificate obtained by the student as well as a statement from the student's employer (if any). As for the certificates received from outside Qatar, they must be equalised by the Certificate Equivalency Department of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The School Affairs Department said a student who successfully passed the 12th grade in the parallel track receives a certificate of completion of the 12th grade, and this certificate is considered equivalent to the general secondary certificate in employment benefits and upgrading the job grade only, and does not qualify him to complete undergraduate study within or outside the country. As for the transfer criteria to and from adult education system schools (parallel track), students are allowed to transfer from adult education (parallel system) to adult education (home system) only in the 10th grade, regardless of the grades in which they were registered in the parallel education track.Students are also allowed to transfer from adult education (home system) to adult education (parallel track) according to the corresponding grades, in the event that the student succeeds in adults education (the parallel track), he is not allowed to transfer to adult education (home system) in the corresponding grade, but rather he is allowed to enrol in the class he originally succeeded in in the adult education system (home system).Successful adult education students (parallel track) from the 12th grade who have a score of 80% or higher and wish to continue their university studies are allowed to apply for the General Secondary Certificate Examination (home system) in the academic year following their obtaining a completion certificate of the study for the 12th grade in the parallel track system. If the student passes the general secondary certificate examinations in accordance with the educational paths, he is awarded a high school certificate. It also clarified the schools designated to register students of the parallel track, which include girls' schools: Rawda Bint Jassim Secondary School for Girls, Al-Sailiya Secondary School, Al Wakra Secondary School, Al Ebb Secondary School and Al Khor Secondary School, Al-Shahaniya Preparatory Secondary School and Al-Iman Secondary School for Girls. As for boys' schools, they include Omar bin Abdul Aziz Secondary School, Ibn Taymiyyah Secondary School, Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Secondary School, Doha Secondary School, Al Kaaban Primary Preparatory Secondary School, Hamad bin Abdullah Secondary School, Hassan bin Thabet Secondary School, Omar Ibn Al Khattab High School.
