Qatar University opens application for student financial aid services
Qatar University (QU) has announced the opening of applications for student financial aid services for the fall 2022 semester for undergraduate students who are facing financial difficulties in covering their educational expenses. The first application period begins on August 21 until September 1.
University students who meet the conditions for applying for monthly aid service, exemption from transportation fees, emergency aid, and financial aid programmes financed by external institutions can apply during this period.
As for the external institutions concerned, they are the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, which offers a rewards program and a university student support program, the Nama Social Center, which offers Tamkeen program, the Afif Charitable Foundation, which offers the Siraj program, and the Seashore Group, which provides the educational financial aid program for the group.
While the second period begins on September 11 to 22, this period includes the possibility of applying for monthly aid service, exemption from transportation fees, emergency aid, payment of tuition fees financed by the university, university housing fees financed by the university, and the rewards program of the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation.
Tuition Fees Payment Deferral and release the registration hold
The Student Financial Aid Section also provides the opportunity for university students to submit a request for the service of tuition fees payment deferral and release the registration hold, during the period from 9 to 20 October, based on the specific conditions for this service.
Types of financial aid
The Student Financial Aid Service is one of the student services that provides various types of financial aid to multiple categories of students, designated to support their empowerment and success at Qatar University, according to specific policies and procedures based on their financial and academic status, as follows: monthly financial aid, full or partial exemption from transportation fees, full or partial payment of tuition fees, full or partial payment of university housing fees, emergency financial aid, and external funding financial aid programs in cooperation with some supporting and partner institutions and charities.
