In connection with the start of the new academic year, Qatar University (QU) on Sunday emphasised the importance of following health and safety standards on campus.
The protocols to be followed are: verifying that the Ehtaraz colour code is green; wearing of masks in the proper manner, especially in classrooms, laboratories, and enclosed spaces; ensuring that hands are frequently and correctly washed with soap and water and use sanitisers during working hours and observing social distance in lecture halls, laboratories, outlets and vending machines, public places, and waiting areas. It is also forbidden to sit closely in these settings.
QU has also appealed to the students to stay away from areas of heavy traffic on internal roads; to cross only at pedestrian crossings; avoid direct sunlight and drink plenty of water.
