Bedaya holds ‘Digitising your Business’ workshop

Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development, a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, in collaboration with Innovation Café, held a workshop titled ‘Digitising your Business’ to shed light on the importance of digital transformation for projects and businesses.

The two-day workshop aimed to encourage digital transformation in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector, along with startups and home businesses by highlighting the basic concepts of this vital process, its challenges, and its social and economic impact on business development.The workshop focused on the mechanism of digital transformation for startups, SMEs, and home businesses by analysing and evaluating the readiness of each project, in addition to the features and tools required for those projects. The workshop also provided the attendees with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the customer management system, the methodology of digital transformation, and its vitality for their projects’ prosperity and development.Hamad al-Qahtani, general manager of Bedaya Centre, said: “The digital transformation process addresses most of the current reality that we live in today, as this process seeks to increase the efficiency of SMEs, startups, and home businesses by saving time and effort and using data in a sophisticated and more effective way. “This ensures the continuity of these projects and helps establish institutions that are flexibly adaptable with the technological developments in the business world and keeping pace with the needs of customers and entrepreneurs alike.”He added: “Regardless of their size, businesses are in urgent need to keep pace with new and innovative developments that have changed the way of thinking and behaviour of consumers, as most of the companies provide support to their customers through social media channels, or provide their products and solutions through technological applications, or even digital payment methods, which reflects the importance of digital transformation for the business of our local entrepreneurs.”
