HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Qassim al-Thani met separately on Wednesday with Secretary of State for International Trade of the United Kingdom Anne-Marie Belinda Trevelyan, and Minister for International Trade Ranil Jayawardena, on the sidelines of the third Joint Economic and Trade Committee between Qatar and the UK, which was held in London. The meetings reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and discussed aspects of joint co-operation in the trade, investment and industrial fields and ways to strengthen them. During the meetings, Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the economic policies adopted by Qatar to diversify the economy and support the private sector, explaining the incentives, legislation and promising opportunities available in the state aimed at encouraging investors, businessmen and owners of British companies to invest in Qatar, reports QNA.
