The official spokesperson for the Government Communications Office (GCO) has highlighted the prominent outcomes of the Cabinet meetings held under the chairmanship of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani in August. Dr Mohamed bin Nuwaymi al-Hajri, in this regard, stressed the Cabinet's affirmation of Qatar's role in fostering the inclusive national reconciliation in Chad, the signing of the Doha Peace Agreement as well as the regional and international confidence in the Qatari mediation role in resolving disputes.
He also referred to the Cabinet's affirmation of Qatar's position and support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly people of Palestine, and the call on the international community to assume its responsibilities in ending the occupation and stopping the repeated and systematic attacks against the Palestinians. At the national level, Dr al-Hajri addressed the Cabinet's follow-up on the various preparations for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, reiterating that Qatar promises to organise an exceptional and impressive tournament.
In this regard, he praised the integrated plans which the State institutions are currently adopting to contribute to the success of this international sporting event. Dr al-Hajri also reviewed the Cabinet's continuous follow-up on the process of employing Qataris through the Kawader platform and directing the development of all appropriate mechanisms to meet the challenges that may stand in the way of developing the performance of national competencies in various disciplines.

He stressed that this platform comes within the government's keenness to provide an opportunity for society to submit complaints and proposals through a unified window, their follow-up, resolving and study of their root causes to avoid them in the future, and to provide a means to evaluate government services.
As for international humanitarian work, Dr al-Hajri confirmed that the Cabinet's approval of a draft memorandum of understanding for co-operation in the field of charitable and humanitarian work between the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities in Qatar and its counterparts in other countries, as well as the Cabinet's review of the annual report of the Permanent Committee for Rescue, Relief and Humanitarian Aid in the afflicted areas in friendly countries. This comes within the framework of the State's keenness to consolidate all the elements of effective humanitarian action regionally and internationally and pushing of all efforts towards a joint international humanitarian action that faces various regional and international challenges.
