Former long-time Doha resident Mohamed Thundiyil died on Tuesday at his native place, Ummathur, Nadapuram in Kozhikode district of Kerala, southern India. He was 71.
Mohamed ran a cafeteria on Al Asmakh Street, and he lived in Qatar for 35 years. He is survived by wife Kunjami, sons Moidu and Rafeeq (both Doha residents) and Azeez, and daughters Kadeeja and Jasmine.
He was buried at Parakkadavu Juma Masjid and a special prayer for the departed soul will be held in Doha on Wednesday.
