KG student, left alone in school bus, dies in Wakra

Minsa Mariam Jacob, a four year-old Indian student of a kindergarten in Wakra, died after she was left alone in a locked school bus for over four hours Sunday. It was also her birthday Sunday.Minsa is the second daughter of Abilash Chacko and Soumya. The couple have an elder daughter, Mikha Jacob.Friends of the family said that the bus driver and the attendant had failed to notice the child, who might have fallen asleep in the bus. Once all the other children had exited, the staff locked the bus leaving Minsa alone inside. _______________________________Read alsoMinistry mourns death of child; launches probe_______________________________The presence of the child in the bus was noticed only after the classes were over in the afternoon when the driver and the attendant returned to drop the children back. Though Minsa was hurried to Wakra Hospital, her life could not be saved, sources said. The maximum temperature across Qatar Sunday was in the 36C to 43C range.The sources gave the name of the kindergarten as Springfield, Wakra. Calls to the official in charge of the kindergarten were not answered. Minsa's body will be flown to India once the formalities are completed, sources added.
